Philip's Tunnel to Nowhere 3

I’ve started a Facebook group called Alabama Christian freaks to simplify networking with other people in my area who have interest in underground/subcultural outreach stuff.    We’ll be getting together next on Saturday, June 6, 2010 near Birmingham.

This is our first attempt at a service project — we’ll be distributing socks to the homeless of Birmingham.  If you can donate clean socks, or ask your church to donate socks, we’d be most grateful.

Sadly, because I will be leaving Alabama in the fall, this may be our last face-to-face event for the foreseeable future.  So far no successor has emerged to lead the group.  I certainly plan to maintain the Facebook group, but without someone to organize the get-togethers I don’t know that anyone will be meeting.

It’s minimal time commitment, really — just keeping people informed.   Hopefully if the Facebook group keeps going, some leader(s) will emerge at a later time.  Lord willing….
